Alaska, United States
Genuine wilderness adventures
2015 will be the year when tourism activity breaks all records. Forget lazy days by the pool and dreary all inclusive complex with a buffet and colorful cocktails in plastic glasses. On the big trip we want to experience real things, meet real people in the real environment and eat authentic food.
Alaska, America's northernmost state, is so genuine it can be.
In Alaska, there is not a single fish farming. All salmon is wild caught. There are five different species where king salmon, chinook salmon, are the crown of natural wonders. When it lands on your plate is in nine cases out of ten cooked to perfection. They can be their fish, Alaska residents. Add to delicious oysters - maybe even the best in the world - and the gigantic king crab with a dollop of butter. More local food, more ecologically and more delicious is hard to get it.
People: definitely younger than you think. The average age of Alaska is 32 years. Hats and Hoodies tree trunk colored camouflage pattern interspersed with trendy and expensive Gore-Tex jackets. On the hamburger jam hands, for there are those, too, so it is liberating little Facebook and Instagram, and the more talk about moose hunting, fishing, climbing and recent, as yet unknown, the bands.
Wilderness: one of the most pristine in världen.Omkring half of them live in Anchorage. Otherwise it wildly.
Black bears, brown bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, snögetter, wolves. The list of beautiful and interesting species is long. Alaska holds numerous hiking trails that wind their way upward toward the high peaks and magnificent glaciers. Bear watching, fishing, kayaking, glacier hiking, biking and zip-line are popular activities all of which are simple to make without much prior knowledge. Alaska is certainly game (do not forget the bear spray!), But hiking trails and activities are often admirably well-organized and self-guide is always to book if you do it in good time.
Suitable for: Nature and hiking interested couples, young and old, who stippled of Africa's wildlife, and to experience one of the world's most beautiful areas. Also: all who dream of seeing bears in the wild, actionsportare and fishing enthusiasts.
Best time to go here: May-August
The flights go via Reykjavik.
Travel time: About 12 hours.
The best tip in Alaska: Lake Clark National Park
A really Alaska TripAdvisor should contain at least one flight in a small Cessna propeller plane. Besides it is often the only way to get out to some sites provide the stunning views. One of my favorite places that can only be reached by air, Lake Clark National Park. On the same day we saw ten brown bears around the lake, whose turquoise green water rather seemed to belong in the Caribbean than in the northern United States.
